Firelite is unique amongst fire rated glass
types. It is a 5mm thick clear glass-ceramic, that can be provided in both cut
or stock sizes. Firelite can withstand temperatures in excess of 10000° C, having
a high thermal shock resistance. Due to a very low coefficient of linear
expansion it will also withstand over 800°C
of thermal shock.
APPLICATIONS
- Fire resistant screens where sprayed water may
be played onto the glass.
- Areas where prolonged integrity of the glass
is a primary concern.
- Screens where high visibility during normal
use and in a fire situation is required.
- Screens protecting high value goods.

the same way as ordinary float glass.
- Minimum sizes are equal to that of clear float
glass.
