Firelite is unique amongst fire rated glass types. It is a 5mm thick clear glass-ceramic, that can be provided in both cut or stock sizes. Firelite can withstand temperatures in excess of 10000° C, having a high thermal shock resistance. Due to a very low coeffi­cient of linear expansion it will also withstand over 800°C of thermal shock.
