STOP-SHOT™
HOW IT WORKS
STOP-SHOT™ Bullet Resistant glass is made
through a process of bonding multiple layers of annealed float glass and
tough polyvinyl butyral (PVB) under heat and pressure.
The resultant multi-layer product prevents
penetration by absorbing and spreading bullet impact force.
THE SPECIFICATION
STOP-SHOP™ Bullet Resistant glass of nominal
thickness (in mm) with (without) spoil protection to class (state class) of
(state standard) as made by Gulf Glass Industries, Sharjah, U.A.E.
MAKING A SELECTION
When selecting Bullet Resistant glass there
are several important criteria that must be reviewed.
These are:
- What is being protected?
- Threat expertise
- Potential weaponry
- Rear face splinter protection (spall)
After making a balanced judgement the
specifier can review the table in this brochure to help decide a glass
classification.
CCI can offer assistance to the specifier,
drawing on their experience to advise which STOP-SHOT glass will be most
suitable.
STOP-SHOT glass has been tested to
Internationally recognized standards at an Independent Test Laboratory in
the U.K.
Test reports can be made available on
application. |
